Air Force hockey welcomes 10 newcomers

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - The Air Force hockey team is proud to welcome 10 members of the Class of 2024, as announced by head coach Frank Serratore. The class arrived at the Academy on June 25 for in-processing and just completed Basic Cadet Training.
7, Brian Adams, F, 5-8, 175, San Ramon, CA, Wenatchee Wild (BCHL)
Played in 95 junior games over three seasons … Started his junior career with the Minot Minotauros (NAHL) and played five games with three points in 2017-18 … Played two seasons with the Wenatchee Wild (BCHL) … In 2018-19, had 25 points (11-14-25) in 47 games … Played 16 playoff games and had seven points ... In 2019-20, had 37 points (19-18-37) in 43 games … Led the team in goals and was fourth in points … Led the team with three short-handed goals and was second with eight power-play tallies … Team captain.
51, Maiszon Balboa, G, 6-2, 185, Colorado Springs, CO, Shreveport Mudbugs (NAHL)
Played two seasons with the Shreveport Mudbugs (NAHL) … Played 23 games in 2018-19 and had an 11-9-2 record with a 2.66 GAA and a .911 saves percentage … Played 28 games in 2019-20 and with a record of 18-8-0 … Ranked fifth in the league in GAA (1.92), seventh in saves percentage (.926) and fourth in shutouts (5).
16, Sam Brennan, D, 6-0, 200, Brighton, MI, Lone Star Brahmas (NAHL)
Played three seasons with the Lone Star Brahmas (NAHL) … Played three games in 2017-18 … Played 41 games in 2018-19 and had six points (1-5-6) … In 2019-20, played in 49 games and has 30 points (10-20-30) … Was a +15 … Was the top scoring defenseman on the team and ranked sixth overall … Ranked seventh in the league in goals and ninth in points by a defenseman … named to NAHL all-south team and was second-team all-NAHL … Alternate captain.
17, Parker Brown, F, 5-10, 155, Hanahan, S.C., Fairbanks Ice Dogs (NAHL)
Played two seasons with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the NAHL … In 2018-19, played in 57 games and had 41 points (15-26-41) … Fourth on the team in points and third in power-play goals (6) and game-winners (3) … Second on the team with three short-handed goals … Was a +16 … Had 10 points (3-7-10) in 10 playoff games … In 2019-20, played in 47 games and had 40 points (16-24-40) … Fifth on the team in points and third in power-play goals (5) … Was a +16.

Played 97 games over three seasons in the NAHL … Played three games in 2018-19 with the Shreveport Mudbugs … Played 41 games for the Lone Star Brahmas and had eight points (5-3-8) in 2018-19 … In 2019-20, played 53 games and had 48 points (19-29-48) … Was a +28 … Third on the team in goals (19) and points (48) … Led the team with six game-winners and was second with five power-play goals.

Played three season of junior hockey, mostly in the NCDC … In 2017-18, had seven points (3-4-7) in 23 games for the South Shore Kings (NCDC) and one point in 13 games for the Syracuse Stars (NCDC) ... In 2018-19, played four games for the Springfield Jr. Blues (NAHL) and also played 40 games for the Northern Cyclones (NCDC) … Had 37 points (19-18-37) in 40 games with the Cyclones … Second on the team in both goals and points … Led the team in power-play goals (7) and game-winners (5) … In 2019-20, played in 18 games and had 28 points (15-13-28) … Despite playing in just 18 games, he was third on the team with 15 goals and three game-winners … Team captain.

Played 150 games over three seasons with the Minnesota Wilderness (NAHL) … In 2017-18, played in 38 games and had 10 points (4-6-10) … Played 60 games in 2018-19 and had 42 points (14-28-42) … Led the team with five game-winners and was fourth in goals and points … Played in 52 games in 2019-20 with 46 points (20-26-46) … Led the team in goals, assists, points, power-play goals and game-winners … Alternate captain.
26, Noah Kim, D, 5-10, 170, Fullerton, CA, Okotoks Oilers, (AJHL)
Played 121 games of junior hockey over three seasons … Played 36 games with the Wenatchee Wild (BCHL) in 2017-18 and had 12 points (1-11-12) … In 2018-19, played 18 games with the Austin Bruins (NAHL) and had six points (1-5-6) and also played 19 games with the Calgary Mustangs (AJHL) and had 11 points (1-10-11) … In 2019-20, played 58 games for the Okotoks Oilers (AJHL) and had 56 points (14-42-56) … Third in the league in points by a defenseman … 10 power-play goals were second in the league by a defenseman and 16th overall … Fourth on the team in points and third in assists.

Played 163 games junior hockey over three seasons … Played 55 games with the Wilkes-Barre-Scranton Knights of the NAHL in 2016-17 and had 16 points (1-15-16) … Two assists in nine playoff games … In 2018-19, played 36 games with the Knights and had seven points (0-7-7) … Also played 26 games with the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL and had three assists … Played 46 games with the Saints in 2019-20 and had six points (1-5-6) … Alternate captain.
