I loved the pre-game dance parties ... getting all fired up and connected with your teammates before going out on that court brought a whole other level of competitiveness and chemistry to our team.
After graduation, what do you miss most about the volleyball team:
I miss being able to compete at such a high level with a group of amazing women. We accomplished some incredible goals together, unlike anything I've experienced yet.
Quote/Advice for the volleyball team:
Always support each other ... the girls next to you are more than teammates and will be people you can depend on far into the future. Also, summer workouts pay off big time in the fall.
Is there anything else you want to share:
The lessons I learned as a follower and a leader on the team are ones that I use on an almost daily basis. Learning how to work with different personalities and how to motivate those people is something I don't think I could have learned anywhere else. Thank you to my teammates, the coaches, Jenny, and all the people who invested so much into us ... you shaped us into the women we are today.
