No. 6 Air Force travels to No. 10 Nebraska

This Week: Sixth-ranked Air Force (6-1 overall) travels to 10th-ranked Nebraska for a pair for duals on Saturday, Nov. 20, and Sunday, Nov. 21. The meet begins at 8 am CT each day and live scoring will be available at MegaLink.
The Falcons vs. the Huskers: Air Force lost a pair of close duals last season to Nebraska in Lincoln, falling 4672-4649 on the first day and 4699-4676 on day two. Air Force's last win over Nebraska came on Oct. 27, 2019, at 4664-4646 win at the Academy.
Rockett Sets School Record: Freshman Scott Rockett was named the USAFA Athlete of the Week, Nov. 8, in helping lead the Falcons to the President's Trophy championship and a win over Army in a dual meet. Rockett set a new school record in air rifle with a 599 in the dual against Army. His 599 ties as the second best mark in the nation this season. He won the aggregate score in both the President's Trophy (1183) and the dual (1186).
President's Trophy Champions - Again: Air Force won its eighth straight President's Cup, the longest streak of any team in the history of the trophy dating back to 1998. Air Force posted a school record team aggregate score of 5883. Navy came in second (5850), Army third (5837) and Coast Guard fourth (2263). The Falcons won the smallbore with a 2905 and the air rifle with a 2978. Freshman Scott Rockett was the top Falcon in aggregate score with an 1183. Peninah D'Souza and Lauren Hurley tied for second at 1177.
The weekend concluded with a 4701-4675 win over Army in a dual meet, Nov. 7. Rockett led the Falcons by winning aggregate competition with an 1186. D'Souza was third (1179), Jordan Williams was fourth (1175) and Devin Schwindt (1170) was fifth.
Last Week: Air Force placed second at a quad meet hosted by second-ranked West Virginia, Nov. 14, in Morgantown, W.V. The Mountaineers won the meet with an aggregate score of 4724, followed by No. 6 Air Force (4703), No. 8 Ohio State (4672) and No. 12 Army (4653). Freshman Scott Rockett won the air rifle (598) and was second among all individuals in aggregate score with an 1183. Peninah D'Souza was fourth overall with a season high 1180 and was fifth in smallbore (586). Jordan Williams (582 smallbore and 587 air rifle) and Peter Fiori (580 smallbore, 592 air rifle) each shot an 1172. Devin Schwindt shot 1169 (582 smallbore, 587 air rifle), Ryan Habeck fired an 1169 (578 smallbore, 591 air rifle), Lauren Hurley shot an 1162 (571 smallbore, 576 air rifle) and Dante Aletto came in at 1147 (571 smallbore, 576 air rifle).
