COVID-19 Update
-Current Department of Defense and Air Force Academy policies require all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask when indoors in all Academy facilities, including the press box, Blue and Silver Club, suites, elevators and restrooms. All individuals who have not been fully vaccinated must also wear masks outdoors at all times while on the installation. Fans who are fully vaccinated and are not required to wear a mask when outdoors. Anyone with a COVID-19 diagnosis within the previous 10 days, or any symptoms suggestive of possible COVID-19, or a recent close contact with an individual known to be positive for COVID-19 should not come to the stadium. These policies will be constantly evaluated and any changes will be communicated.
Series History vs. UTEP
-Air Force has only played UTEP twice, with the Falcons posting a 0-2 record against the Miners.
-Both matchups took place during the 1997-98 season, as Air Force was defeated 75-63 at home and 77-51 on the road.
Last Time Out
-To start a four-game road trip, Air Force was buoyed by Cierra Winters, as she scored a career-high 21 points en route to a 63-48 Falcons win over Dixie State.
-Winters finished her afternoon 7-17 from the field, including 1-4 from beyond the arc.
-Her relentless pursuit of the rim paid dividends for her and Air Force, with Winters attempting a game-high 10 free throws, making six.
-Her stat line, to go with her new personal best in points, was accompanied with eight rebounds, three assists and three steals.
-Riley Snyder also managed double-figures for the Falcons, scoring 16 points on a day where she finished 50% from the field. The senior was 2-4 from long range, and made all four of her free throws.
-It was surely true team effort in regards to filling up the scoreboard, as 10 of the 11 players that came onto the floor scored at least a point for Air Force.
After UTEP
-Following Tuesday's game against the Miners, Air Force will travel home for the holidays before opening up conference play on the road at Nevada on December 28. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 pm MT.
