Men’s Tennis Rallies to 4-3 Win at Omaha

Air Force men's tennis (2-1) rallied to a 4-3 win at Omaha (4-6) Saturday night at Miracle Hill Tennis Center in Omaha, Neb.
The Falcons trailed 2-0 after dropping the doubles point and the first singles match. The Falcons then rallied back with three straight singles wins to go ahead 3-2. After Omaha tied it up 3-3, sophomore Jonathan Mascagni came through for the Falcons with a win at No. 3 singles for the clinching point.
The Falcons opened with setbacks at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Paul Hendrix and Jamie Bautista fell at No. 1 to Matt Hulme and Abdoul Ouattara 6-3. Jordan Azuma and Robert Baylon fell at No. 2 to Davis Lawley and Hugo Piles Ballester 6-2.
In singles, Omaha went up 2-0 as Waldman fell at No. 2 to Hulme 6-2, 7-5. The Falcons then began their rally, first with a win at No. 6 by Sean McKendree over Alvaro Quintana 6-2, 6-4.
Air Force tied it up at 2-2 as Baylon won at No. 4 over Lawley 7-5, 6-3. The Falcons then took a 3-2 lead on Jordan Azuma's win at No. 5 over Olsson 7-5. 6-4.
The match was then tied 3-3 after Hendrix fell at No. 1 to Ouattara 7-6 (5), 6-3. Mascagni then pulled it out for the Falcons with the win at No. 3 over Piles Ballester 7-6 (6), 6-4.
Air Force returns to action tomorrow at Creighton.
