Air Force in 10th at Southern Utah Invitational

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force golf team sits in 10th place after the first two rounds of the Pizza Hut Pat Hicks Invitational, Sunday, Feb. 7, at the Sunbrook Golf Course in St. George, Utah. The tournament is the season opener for the Falcons.
After an opening round 298, Air Force shot a 291 (+3) in the second round for a 36-hole total of 589 (+13). Utah leads the 12-team field with a 547 (-29) while Utah Valley is second 552 (-24) and the host school, Southern Utah, is third at 563 (-13).
Senior Kyle Spencer leads the Falcons with a 144 (Even) and is tied for 23rd overall. Spencer matched his career best with a first-round 69. Junior Colter Baca is at 146, junior Luke Trujillo is at 148, junior Jonathan Farmer is at 153 and sophomore Isaac Layne is at 157. Three Falcons are competing as individuals, freshman Aaron Kuznik (150), sophomore Patrick Erwin (165) and freshman Max Heupel (165).
