
LaRocque named second team AHA West Pod

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force senior goaltender Zach LaRocque was named to the Atlantic Hockey Association West Pod all-conference second team, as announced today by the league office.
LaRocque, from Arvada, Colo., played in seven regular-season conference games with four starts. Among the western pod goalies during the regular season, LaRocque's 2.25 goals-against average was tied as the best.
He was tied with Canisius' Jacob Barczewski, who was selected as the west pod first-team goalie. LaRocque's .914 saves percentage was second in the west pod to Barczewski's .928.
In his first start of the season, LaRocque led Air Force to its first point, stopping 22 of 23 in a 1-1 overtime tie at Niagara, Jan. 4. He made a career-high 32 saves at Mercyhurst, Jan. 8. In the regular-season finale on senior night, he stopped 21 of 22 to lead the Falcons to a 5-1 win over Canisius, Feb. 20, at Cadet Ice Arena.
