Rifle team hits the practice range for the NC Rifle Championships

Roster Change
U.S. Air Force Academy, CO – Update: (Roster change) The Air Force rifle team took to the practice range today for the National Collegiate Rifle Championships that begin on Friday, March 12, and Saturday, March 13, at Ohio State's Converse Hall in Columbus, Ohio. This year marks the seventh time the rifle program has competed in the championships.
Air Force will be represented by two Colorado Springs, CO, natives. Freshman Morgan Kreb (The Village High School) was one of the Falcons' top shooters throughout the year. She finished the season with a career high, 1179. Her other highs for the year were a 595 in air rifle and a 585 high for smallbore. Kreb was named all-conference for both smallbore and air rifle.
Sophomore Jordan Williams (Doherty High School). Williams scored career highs this season for aggregate scoring, 1169, and in air rifle and smallbore, 590, and 583, respectively.
Also competing for Air Force is junior Ryan Habeck (Fort Pierre, SD), finished the season with a high 1169 aggregate, and a career 591 in the air rifle. His top score for smallbore was 582. At the PRC Championships, he scored a 588 in the air rifle and finished the event ranked eighth to earn all-conference in the gun.
Freshman Peninah D'Souza (Ellicott City, MD) goes into her first NCAA Rifle Championships with a national aggregate average of 1161.728, her air rifle average is 588.273, and has a smallbore average of 573.455. During the season, she scored a 591 three times for a career high, and had a high 580 in the smallbore. Her season aggregate was 1167.
Junior Devin Schwindt (Lees Summit, MO) is making his first appearance at the championships. Schwindt has a career-best aggregate of 1163, and a high 586 in the air rifle. He goes into the smallbore competition with a 581 career best.
