Falcons Hit The Road for First Time in Spring 2021 Season
The Air Force Academy women's soccer team will compete on the road for the first time in the abbreviated spring 2021 season by heading to Utah State, Friday, March 19 and New Mexico, Sunday, March 21. Both matches are set to begin at 1 p.m. MT.

Last Time Out
The Falcons knocked off MW rival Wyoming in double OT, 2-1, Thursday, March 11, at the USAFA Lacrosse Practice Field. The Falcons trailed 1-0 late in the match before a PK goal in the 87 minute tied it and sent the match to OT. In the second OT period, AF scored three minutes in for the first win of the 2021 spring season. Sunday's originally scheduled game against Colorado State ended up being canceled due to COVID-19 protocols within the CSU program.
First Time For Everything
The two goals scored against Wyoming in the double OT victory were scored by juniors Natalia Gutierrez and Tatiana Limon, and were both the first goals of their respective careers. Gutierrez took the game tying PK in regulation, while Limon netted the golden goal winner in double OT off an assist from senior Emma Nelson.
Dominating the Cowgirls
While the match was tight in score, the stats show AF thoroughly dominated the match last Thursday. AF held a 25-8 advantage in total shots, including 14-6 on net. AF out-possessed Wyoming by a 57-43 percent clip as well.
21st Season in the Mountain West
This season marks Air Force's 22nd season as a member of the Mountain West Conference after being one of its charter members back in 1999. In 21 seasons, Air Force holds a 64-144-19 mark in conference matches.
