Falcons Wrap up Action at NCAA Championships

Garrett Braunton and Frankie Valentin both earned top-12 finishes in the event finals.
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Freshman Garrett Braunton and senior Frankie Valentin both collected 12th-place finishes this evening (April 17), as Air Force capped the 2021 campaign at the NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships in Minneapolis.
Braunton tied for 12th on the high bar with a score of 13.466, while Valentin accounted for the same placement in the all-around with a six-event tally of 79.231. The senior's best event finish came on the still rings, as he scored a 13.500 to finish 26th in the overall field. He also accounted for a pair of 31st-place marks (14.066 on the vault, 13.966 on the floor exercise), while finishing 32nd on the high bar (12.866), 36th on the pommel horse (12.000) and 41st on the parallel bars (12.833).
Braunton tied for 12th on the high bar with a score of 13.466, while Valentin accounted for the same placement in the all-around with a six-event tally of 79.231.
