
Sierra Taylor Joins Air Force Women’s Soccer Staff

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Sierra Taylor has joined Air Force women's soccer as an assistant coach, announced today by head coach Larry Friend. A Colorado native, Taylor has worked at various levels of soccer, including college and club.

She has passion for coaching and the Air Force Academy mission. She will do an amazing job mentoring these fantastic young women to compete on the field as they develop into leaders of character."
Most recently, Taylor worked with Pride Soccer in Colorado Springs and was previously an assistant coach at Alabama State and Ohio State.
Taylor coached with Pride Soccer the previous three seasons from 2018-21. In addition, she was an instructor with CycleBar, a premium indoor cycling company.
Prior to her stint with Pride, Taylor was an assistant coach for three years at Alabama State from 2015-17. During her three years, Taylor helped guide the Lady Hornets to three conference finals, two conference titles and two NCAA appearances.
During the 2016 season, Taylor helped guide the Lady Hornets to an 11-10-1 overall record and a 7-2-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) record. The year was highlighted by Alabama State capturing the school's first-ever SWAC Tournament title and a trip to the NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.
With the Lady Hornets, Taylor served as the recruiting coordinator as well as working with the position players, with her main focus directed toward working with the defenders.
Prior to Alabama State, Taylor served as the defender's coach at Ohio State from 2013-2014. While at Ohio State, she was tasked with video analysis, along with the day-to-day training. In addition, Taylor oversaw and coached camps and clinics with the Buckeyes. She currently holds a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National Diploma, in addition to USSF E & F licenses.
Taylor also coached club soccer for two season at Ohio Premier along with her time with Ohio State.
A native of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Taylor (formely Sierra Joseph) graduated from Arizona State in 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise and Wellness.
A four-year letter winner, Taylor was also a three-time All-Pac 12 performer as well as being an All-Pac 12 All-Academic selection with the Sun Devils.
Taylor was a team captain for her final three seasons with the Sun Devils and led the program to three NCAA Tournament appearances.
Prior to Arizona State, Taylor played club soccer at Real Colorado, winning five state cups. She drew into the national pool for the Olympic Development Program and also represented Costa Rica to play for the national team.
Taylor is married to husband, Bryce, who is a strength and conditioning coach at Air Force. They have a son, Blaise.
