Falcons Roll To 6-1 Victory Over Eastern Washington

Air Force men's tennis earned a 6-1 win over Eastern Washington in a neutral-site dual Saturday afternoon in Missoula, Mont.

After giving up the doubles point, the Falcons swept all six singles matches to pick up their first win of the season and improve to 1-1.

In doubles, the No. 1 pair of Robert Baylon and Jordan Azuma won 6-1 over Erik Sarlvik and Wout Doumen 6-1. The Falcons fell at No. 2 and 3 to surrender the point.

In singles, the Falcons opened with a win at No. 3 as Nick Vroman defeated Sarlvik 6-4, 6-0 to tie the match up. Air Force took the lead for good with a win at No. 4 as Arjun Kersten defeated Steven Paz 6-4, 6-4.

Air Force extended its lead to 3-1 with a win at No. 5 as Kyle Garner downed Brady Thomas 6-2, 6-4. Baylon then clinched the match for the Falcons with a win at No. 1 over Jeremy Mueller 6-1, 4-6, 6-2.

The Falcons then won at No. 2 as Jonathan Mascagni downed Doumen 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. The day was capped with a win at No. 6 as Luke Wolf defeated Bruno Ortega 6-3, 6-3.

Air Force returns to action tomorrow against Montana. The dual begins at noon MT.
