Air Force Defeats Bryant, 4-3, at USTA Center

Air Force men's tennis rallied to defeat Bryant University (2-10), 4-3, in non-conference action Friday night at the USTA Center in Orlando, Fla. The Falcons improved to 9-4 on the season.

The Falcons surrendered the doubles point after going 1-2. The Falcons picked up the win at No. 1 doubles as Robert Baylon and Jordan Azuma won 7-5.

Air Force came back in singles play, going 4-2 to pull out the win.

Freshman Arjun Kersten started the rally with a win at No. 4 singles, 6-3, 6-0. Baylon then won at No. 1, 6-1, 6-3 to put the Falcons ahead 2-1.

Bryant tied it up with a win at No. 6. But sophomore Nick Vroman put the Falcons back ahead with a win at No. 3, 6-2, 6-3.

Junior Jonathan Mascagni then won at No. 2, 7-6, 6-4 to clinch the match for the Falcons. Air Force also dropped the No. 5 match in three sets.

Air Force returns to action Saturday, Feb, 19, with the women's team against Army as part of College MatchDay back at the USTA Center.
