Lentz capped an impressive freshman season in the steeplechase at the national meet.
EUGENE, Ore. – Air Force freshman Bryce Lentz capped his impressive freshman campaign with a 22nd-place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase this evening (June 8) during the semifinal round of competition at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
Lentz, the first Air Force freshman to compete in the national championship meet since 2007, finished 10th in his heat and 22nd overall in the steeplechase after clocking a time of 8:52.33.
The collegiate season comes to a close for the Falcons on Friday (June 10), when junior Sam Gilman competes in the 5000-meter run championship at 7:55 p.m. (PT).
