
Air Force Men’s Basketball Announces 2022-23 Schedule

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force Men's Basketball released its schedule for the 2022-23 season, announced today by head coach Joe Scott. The Falcons are slated to play a program-record 19 home games, including 10 non-conference home games.
The previous record of home games in a season at Air Force is 18 in 2016-17. The 10 non-conference home games ties for the most in program history with the 2011-12 team.
"We are very pleased with our non-conference opponents, especially with 10 of them being home at Clune Arena," head coach Joe Scott said. "Our non-conference games will help prepare us for the grind of the Mountain West season."
Air Force's 13-game non-conference schedule features seven teams coming off winning seasons and three making the postseason.
After opening the season on the road at Mid-American Conference (MAC) member Bowling Green on Nov. 7, the Falcons play seven consecutive, and 10 of its next 11 games, at home at Clune Arena. The home slate begins Nov. 11 against Delaware, a 2022 NCAA Championship tournament participant.
The seven-game home stand continues against Texas A&M-Commerce on Nov. 14, followed by a Portland team projected to be amongst the top teams in the West Coast Conference on Nov. 17. The Falcons play next against 2022 postseason participant USC-Upstate on Nov. 21 and Mississippi Valley State on Nov. 23. Montana, projected to be one of the top teams in the Big Sky Conference, visits Clune Arena on Nov. 27. The home stand is capped against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Nov. 30.
Following a road game at Portland State on Dec. 3, the Falcons host South Dakota on Dec. 6, Arkansas State on Dec. 9 and Tarleton State on Dec. 18. The non-conference slate concludes Dec. 20 at Northern Colorado, which was a semifinalist last season in the CBI postseason tournament.
Air Force is slated to open the 18-game Mountain West season on Dec. 28 at San Diego State.
The home slate of MW games begins Dec. 31 against Nevada. The Falcons also play conference home games in January against Utah State on Jan. 3, Wyoming on Jan. 17, San Diego State on Jan. 21 and Boise State on Jan. 31. February home games are against Colorado State on Feb. 7, New Mexico on Feb. 11 and Fresno State on Feb. 21. The final MW game of the season is a home game on March 4 against San Jose State.
Road MW games in January are at Colorado State on Jan. 10, Fresno State on Jan. 14, San Jose State on Jan. 24 and New Mexico on Jan. 28. In February, Air Force is at Nevada on Feb. 4, Utah State on Feb. 14, Wyoming on Feb. 18 and UNLV on Feb. 25.
The 2023 MW Championship Tournament runs March 8-11 in Las Vegas.
Conference game dates could move depending on selection for national broadcast. The Mountain West national television partners CBS Sports and FOX Sports are currently initiating a selection procedure which will include the shifting of particular games to any night of the week. That will be followed by the identification of network outlets and tip-off times.
