USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's basketball announced its team award winners for the 2025-26 season. Freshman Kam Sanders earned the Bob Beckel Most Valuable Player honor.
Sanders (Albany, Ga.,) had a historic rookie campaign for the Falcons. The guard led Air Force in scoring with 12.5 points per game and in assists with 3.8 assists per game. His 400 points scored and 121 assists are both Academy freshman records. In addition to his freshmen records, Sanders made all 15 free throw attempts against South Dakota on Nov. 29, 2025, setting a new school record for most consecutive free throws made in a game. Sanders is just the second freshman in program history to earn team MVP honors and the first since Falcon legend Raymond Dudley in 1986-87.
Junior Kolby Gilles (Chicago, Ill.) earned the Cliff Parsons Award for the member of the Falcon basketball team that gives his best every day, in every way. Gilles was one of Air Force's top performers as a reserve, playing in all 32 games and averaging 3.2 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. The forward played his best basketball at the end of the season, reaching double figures in scoring for the first time in his career in his last two games of the season.
Sophomore Eli Robinson (Monument, Colo.) earned the Bob Spear Award for the member of the Falcon basketball team that demonstrates high achievement in basketball performance, academics and military performance. It is considered one of the highest honors a player can earn. After appearing in just one game as a freshman in 2024-25, Robinson burst onto the scene as a sophomore, where he started all 31 games he played in. The forward led the team in rebounding, averaging 5.2 boards per game and was fourth in scoring at 7.8 points per game. Robinson shot 49 percent from the field and was second on the team in steals (34) and blocked shots (12).
