Air Force Men’s Tennis Opens Day One Hosting ITA Bedford Cup

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis opened day one play at the 2022 ITA Bedford Cup In The Mountains this Friday, Sept. 23, at the Air Force Outdoor Intercollegiate Tennis Courts.

Air Force went 7-1 in doubles and 8-7 in singles on the day.

Junior Nick Vroman, senior Justin Waldman and freshman Phillip Deaton each won a pair of matches each to advance in their draws. Vroman reached the semifinals of the A draw with his two wins. Waldman reached the B draw semis with his two wins. Deaton reached the C draw quarterfinals with his two wins.

Air Force had three doubles teams reach the quarterfinals. The duo of Jonathan Mascagni and Arjun Kersten, the duo of Vroman and Waldman and Deaton and Kyle Garner all went 2-0.

Day two action resumes tomorrow beginning at 9 am.
