Falcons Split for Meets at Colorado, Texas Tech

The Air Force track and field team splits for a pair of competitions this weekend. Part of the team will travel to Lubbock for the Texas Tech Open on Jan. 27-28, while the rest make a return trip to Boulder for the Colorado Invitational on Jan. 27.
MEET INFORMATION: TEXAS TECH OPEN
The Texas Tech Open will be held Friday and Saturday (Jan. 27-28), at the Red Raiders' Sports Performance Center. The field is scheduled to include athletes from several nationally ranked programs. Daily admission is $8 for adults and $5 for youth. Tickets can be purchased online at TexasTech.com or at the ticket office on the north side of the Sports Performance Center, beginning one hour before the first event each day. Fans must also adhere to Texas Tech's "Clear Bag Policy". The meet will be streamed live on Big 12 Now (ESPN+), while live results will be available via Prime Time Timing.

The Colorado Invitational, held at the Indoor Practice Facility on the east side of Folsom Field, will be a one-day event this year, with all events taking place on Friday, Jan. 27. Field events are scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. (MT), while running events will begin at 4:00 p.m., or at the conclusion of the pole vault and high jump. Admission is $8 for spectators. Only water is allowed inside the IPF and fans must adhere to Colorado's "Clear Bag Policy". Live results will be available via CUBuffs.com/TrackLive.
AIR FORCE IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Highlighted by a pair of top-20 marks, three Falcons are listed among the nation's top 20 in the latest TFRRS standings. Sam Gilman is 10th in the 5000-meter run following a 13:25.64 performance in the Boston opener, while Caiden Macktinger is ranked 18th in the NCAA with his 17'6½" clearance in the pole vault from the Air Force Holiday Open. On the women's side, Halle Hamilton is listed 19th at 5000 meters (15:51.39).
HEADING HOME
Fourteen Falcons hail from the state of Texas – include seven that are on this week's travel roster to the Texas Tech Open: Darek Hackett (Houston), Philip Hundl (El Campo), Seth Meador (Denton), Robert Postell (Cypress), Taylor Rioux (Austin), Jalan Rivers (Humble), Katie Schlather (The Woodlands).
