Women’s Tennis Faces Creighton, North Dakota in First Dual Road Test

The Air Force women's tennis team's first spring road trip comes in the form of a two-match weekend in Grand Forks, N.D., facing Creighton (Jan. 28) and North Dakota (Jan. 29) at the Choice Health & Fitness Club.
Falcons at a Glance:
The Falcons opened duals with a 2-0 start in doubles play, clinching the point off back-to-back wins on courts one and two. Court one pairing of Sydney Fitch/Alexis Odom and Abby Cotuna/Isabella Flodin on court two both won their opening pair of matches, with Fitch/Odom clinching the point for the Falcons on back-to-back days.
On line six freshman Arianna Van Houweling opened her inaugural spring singles campaign 2-0, notching straight-set wins against Weber State (3-6, 7-5) and Colorado (6-1, 6-3).
2022 Dual Recap:
Air Force closed its 2022 spring season with a 17-8 record, a 6-4 mark against Mountain West opponents, and ten shutout performances across dual play. The Falcons' season came to a close in the opening round of the Mountain West Conference tournament, falling 4-3 to UNLV (Apr. 28).
In singles play, The Falcons closed 2022 with a 92-37 (713) overall record, led by an unbeaten 19-0 for senior Vivian Glozman – 18 of which occurred on flight one.
On court two, Sydney Fitch earned 15 wins on the season, including a 14-7 record on court two.
2022 ITA Mountain Region Freshman of the Year Karina Chao amassed a 17-3 record, going 7-1 on court three and 8-2 on line four.
