Falcons Set to Face Nation's Elite at Wisconsin

The Air Force cross country team, which includes the eighth-ranked men's squad, will travel to Madison, Wis., this week to face some of the nation's elite at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on Friday, Oct. 13.
MEET INFORMATION
The Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, presented by Under Armour, will be held on the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course, which is adjacent to University Ridge Golf Course. The women will complete a 6K course, while the men will follow with an 8K race. The "B" races will kick off the day at 11:00 a.m., while the Championship races are slated to begin at 12:20 p.m. (CT). The meet will be streamed live on RunnerSpace, while live results will be provided by Prime Time Timing (direct links to both can be found on the team's schedule page at GoAirForceFalcons.com.

The prestigious Wisconsin field is slated to feature more than half of the nation's top-ranked teams, including 23 of the Top 30 men's programs and 22 of the Top 30 women's squads. SPECTATOR INFORMATION
There is no spectator parking at Zimmer, University Ridge or along the roads surrounding the course – all fans should park at Blackhawk Church (9620 Brader Way) in Middleton. Parking is available on the upper level behind the church and a free shuttle will provide roundtrip transportation to the cross country course. Shuttles will begin at 9:00 a.m. (CT) and conclude one hour after the final race has finished.

The women will begin out of Box 2, while the men will start in Box 8.
AIR FORCE LINEUP
Eight men – Zach Ayers, Eli Bennett, Ryan Child, Luke Combs, Jett Knight, Sean Maison, Jason Renze, Max Sannes – and eight women – Rachel Crytser, Halle Hamilton, Anna Harden, Ella Johnson, Ally Peterson, Tiaree Towler, Michaela Workman, Rebecca Wusinich – will represent the Academy at the Nuttycombe Invitational in the program's USAFA throwback uniforms.
HISTORY 101
Air Force has competed at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational eight times since 2010, with the men capturing their best finish (fourth) last year – a placement that marked the fourth time in as many meets that the Falcons have captured a top-10 finish (2018 men: seventh; 2019 women: eighth; 2021 men: fifth; 2022 men: fourth).
