Fonseca leads Falcons in round two in Maui

U.S.A.F. ACADEMY, Colo. – Sophomore Alvaro Fonseca led the Air Force golf team with a one-over 72 in the second round of the Ka'anapali Classic, Friday, Oct. 27, in Maui. Fonseca played his final 13 holes in three-under-par, including birdies on his final two holes, as he has shot back-to-back 72's in the tournament.
Freshman Carson Baker matched his collegiate career best with a 73 (+3) in the second round. Fonseca leads the Falcons after 36 holes with a 144 (+2). Freshman Eli Huntington is second at 148, followed by junior Cameron Kahle (149), Christopher Park (150) and Baker (154). Sophomore Ted Davenport, playing as an individual, is at 156.
Liberty leads the tournament with a 534 (-34). East Tennessee State and Olahoma are tied for second at 539 (-29). Air Force is in 20th place.
The final round begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 am HST (12:30 pm MST) in Maui.
