
Odom, freshmen log wins in final day at All-Academy Challenge

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Facing off against Army on day three at the All-Academy Challenge, the Air Force women's tennis team picked up a win in both stages of competition.
Junior Alexis Odom finished the weekend in D.C. earning her second victory of the weekend, taking down 2023 All Patriot League First Team selection Cooper Jackson in a three-set battle. After narrowly falling in her first set, Odom claimed wins in the second and third, playing out to a 13-11 victory in a third-set super tiebreak to claim her third victory in the last four matches.
In their first-ever match as a pair, freshmen Amy Park/Giovanna Sanchirico claimed an 8-5 victory over West Point's Alexandra Oshidar/Stacey Samonte – Park's first doubles win of the fall, and Sanchirico's fourth. Oshidar/Samonte opened their collegiate careers 3-0 as a duo; Samonte began her fall campaign with a 6-1 mark in doubles play with three separate partners.
