Air Force men's tennis earned a No. 63 national ranking for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association NCAA Div. I men's tennis team singles and doubles computerized rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point for Feb. 21, 2023.
The Falcons were one of the top 75 programs to make the list and one of just two from the Mountain West (New Mexico 55). The No. 63 ranking ties the 2014 team for the highest ITA ranking in program history.
Air Force is off to an 8-1 start on the season. The Falcons opened the season by winning its first seven duals for its best start since 2005.
Air Force is coming off a 4-2 win over Service Academy rival Navy on Saturday at College MatchDay at the USTA Center in Orlando, Fla. It was the programs first-ever win over the Midshipmen.
"We're off to a good start and it's nice to see the team rewarded with a national ranking," head coach Dan Oosterhous said. "But the real test is continuing to improve throughout the season to be playing our best as we go into the Mountain West conference tournament. Our goal is to be an NCAA tournament team and our performance so far this season shows me that we are capable."
The Falcons are back in action March 2, hosting Idaho.
