ABOUT
Winter Cup
The 2023 Winter Cup is a qualifying event to the 2023 U.S. Gymnastics Championships. The Winter Cup will also culminate in the selection of the Men's Junior and Senior National Teams to be named following the competition.
Elite Team Cup
Formerly the Elite Regional Championships, first held in 2014, and now referred to as the Elite Team Cup, this premier event features nine men's Regional Teams, each consisting of six junior elite gymnasts. Team scores for the Elite Team Cup will be based on four athletes competing on each event with the top three scores on each event counting.
LAST TIME OUT
Air Force outscored service academy rivals Army and Navy to win the title for the first time since 2018 at the 2023 All-Academy meet, hosted at The Ford Center, Saturday evening. The Falcons posted their third-best team score of the season, 396.550, to rise above Navy (393.000) and Army (389.150).
The Falcons have placed first in action for the second week in a row, besting California and Army last week (Feb. 11) on senior day in Cadet West Gym at the Academy. The pommel horse and parallel bars teams propelled Air Force to a strong lead which was held on to the finish of what became the most competitive All-Academy event to date.
UP NEXT
Air Force takes a week off competition before heading to a tri-meet with Stanford and Navy in Annapolis, Maryland, on March 11.
