BRYANT NOTABLES
-The Bulldogs are 4-1 on the year after a 14-12 win against Fairfield on Tuesday.
-Bryant is 4-1 to start the season for the second time in three seasons. The 2021 team started 5-1.
-Bryant ranks fifth nationally with 15.6 goals per game and 10th nationally in man-up offense.
-Jack Lonsinger is the highest scoring freshman in the country, averaging 3.8 goals per game.
-Kevin Groeninger ranks 10th nationally with 2.40 assists per game.
LAST TIME THEY PLAYED
Air Force led Bryant from wire to wire for a 16-10 victory on the road at Conaty Indoor. Air Force put up four individual hat tricks on the game.
Junior attack man Brandon Dodd had a six-point performance via three goals and three assists, marking his fifth hat trick of the season. Brenden Crouse extended to an 11-game goal streak with his fourth hat trick this season with his three goals. Kyle Griffith notched his first collegiate hat trick on four shots and Aiden Tolen put up three goals and an assist.
The Falcons' Tommy Hellman, Gavin Peene, Maxwell Kane, and Wes Peene rounded out the scorers for Air Force with a goal apiece.
In goal, Jason Rose had a career day as he made a personal-best 21 saves to keep the Bulldogs at bay. Rose was also credited with an assist in one of Griffith's goals. Senior defender Quentin Carlile anchored the defense with four caused turnovers and four ground balls. Sophomore teammate James Chastain caused two turnovers as well.
UP NEXT
The Falcons travel to North Carolina to take on ASUN newcomer Queens University and Duke, March 18 and 20, respectively. Action on Saturday will begin at noon ET at Queens Sports Complex in Charlotte. On Monday, the Falcons take on Duke at Koskinen Stadium at 7 p.m. ET.

Air Force put up a season best 14 goals to beat Mercer in the ASUN Conference opener, Saturday afternoon at Five Star Stadium. Seven players on Air Force notched in a goal in the effort led by Brandon Dodd, Ethan Grandolfo and Wes Peene who scored a hat trick apiece while shooting over .500 on the day.
The hat trick marked Dodd's third this season, he has a team-high 12 goals in the 2023 campaign. Peene now has nine goals this season in the wake of his first career hat trick. Grandolfo, who posted a game-high five points, has two hat tricks this year.
On the defensive end, Chris Bardak had a career day with a game-best five caused turnovers and team-high four ground balls. He leads the squad with eight CTs this season. James Chastain and Cody Gross caused a turnover apiece to bring the tally to seven on the game. Jason Rose was sturdy in goal, making 10 saves on the day and ultimately quelling a Mercer rally in the second half.
