
Eight Falcons earn ACWPC all-academic honors

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Eight Air Force water polo cadet-athletes were named to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches All-Academic Team for their excellence in and out of the water.
Freshman Thomas Newell earned outstanding recognition. Three Falcons, sophomore Joe Sabo and freshmen Jackson Carter and Ethan Smith all earned superior distinction. Four Falcons, Senior Larsen McCarroll, sophomore David Brown and freshmen Fisher Pruitt and Trevor Zimlich all earned excellent honors.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete's head coach must be a member of the ACWPC, while the athlete must attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. Divided into three teams based on cumulative grade point average (GPA), 205 athletes garnered Outstanding (4.00-3.71), 228 Superior (3.70-3.41) and 154 Excellent (3.40-3.20) recognition from 49 teams.
