
Four Falcons earn All-America honors

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Four members of the Air Force rifle team earned Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association All-America honors. The four selections matches the 2021-22 season and tie as the most since the Falcons had a school-record five selections in 2019.
Junior Peninah D'Souza was named first-team in air rifle and honorable mention in aggregate. Sophomores Lauren Hurley and Scott Rockett earned second-team honors in air rifle and junior Morgan Kreb earned honorable mention honors in smallbore.
At the NCAA Championships, D'Souza qualified for the finals in air rifle with a 596. Her sixth-place finish was the highest by a Falcon this season. D'Souza also placed sixth in air rifle at the Patriot Rifle Conference Championships, earning all-conference honors. Early in the season, D'Souza shot a 599 in air rifle, tying as the ninth best mark in the nation this season. D'Souza's air rifle average of 595.818 was the seventh best in the nation. She earned second-team CRCA air rifle All-America honors last season.
Rockett, the air rifle national champion last season, earned All-America honors for the second straight year. His season average of 594.385 was the 13th best in the nation. At the NCAA Championships, Rockett placed 11th in aggregate score with an 1186.
Hurley earned second-team All-America honors for the second straight season. Hurley's air rifle season average of 594.267 was the 16th best in the nation. She also placed third at the Patriot Rifle Conference Championships, earning all-league honors. Her perfect air rifle score of 600 on Nov. 20 was one of eight perfect scores in the nation this season.
Kreb earned All-America honors for the third straight season. She was second team air rifle as a freshman, third team smallbore and honorable mention air rifle as a sophomore. This season, she posted a 590.80 smallbore season average. At the NCAA Championships, she shot a 592 in air rifle and an 1170 aggregate score.
