Rachel Crytser Clocks Steeplechase PR at NCAA West Prelim

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Air Force junior Rachel Crytser closed out the track and field team's run at the NCAA West Preliminary with a career-best outing in the 3000-meter steeplechase this evening (May 27) at Hornet Stadium.
AIR FORCE TOP 10 MARKS
No. 3 – Rachel Crytser, 3000-Meter Steeplechase (10:16.39)
Crossing the finish line in a time of 10:16.39, Crytser knocked more than two seconds off her previous best time – and improved her own No. 3 mark on the Academy's all-time standings for the fourth time in as many races. Crytser, who has deleted nearly nine seconds off her time this season, placed 27th in the full 48-runner field – a placement 17 spots above her entry seed.
The collegiate season comes to a close on June 7-10 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Austin, Texas.
