
Air Force announces 2023-24 Rifle Schedule

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force rifle team will open the 2023-24 season by hosting UTEP, Saturday, Oct. 7, at the USAFA Rifle Range. The Falcons' first three matches will be at home as Nebraska visits on Oct. 15 and TCU, the NCAA runner-ups last season, on Oct. 21.
Air Force will defend its President's Trophy title, Saturday, Nov. 4, by taking on fellow service academies Army and Navy in West Point. The Falcons will then battle Army in a dual match on Nov. 5.
The first half closes out at the West Virginia Fall Classic, Nov. 11-12, in Morgantown, Va.
In the second half of the season, the Falcons will host dual meets with Ohio State on Jan. 28 and TCU, in an NCAA Qualifier, Feb. 17.
Air Force will compete in the Patriot Rifle Championships, Feb. 3-4, in Fort Wayne, Ind., with the NCAA Championships being held March 8-9 in Morgantown, W.V.
Last season, the Falcons finished seventh in the NCAA Championships in aggregate and third in the nation in air rifle. Air Force reached the NCAAs for the ninth straight year.
The Falcons return four All-Americans from last season. The four selections tied as the most since the Falcons had a school-record five selections in 2019. Senior Peninah D'Souza was named first-team in air rifle and honorable mention in aggregate. Juniors Lauren Hurley and Scott Rockett earned second-team honors in air rifle and senior Morgan Kreb earned honorable mention honors in smallbore.
