Air Force Drops 2-0 Contest to UCSD

USAF ACADEMY – Following a pair of lightning delays, the Falcons dropped a 2-0 contest to UC San Diego, Sunday afternoon at the Air Force Academy. The Tritons earned their first win of the season (1-3-1), while the Falcons remain in the hunt for their first win (0-6).
Max Carvalho and Inaki Iribarren recorded the strikes for UCSD in the 59th and 76th minute, respectively.
The Falcons took 12 shots in the game, putting three on goal. Luke Hill led AF in shots with three attempts and one coming on goal, while teammates Remi Smith and Carter Rizzo each took shots on target.
UCSD keeper Nicholas Shor recorded three saves for the Tritons.
Next up, the Falcons hit the road for a pair of road matches in California. First, Air Force takes on Cal State Fullerton on Thursday (Sept. 14). Following the match against the Titans, the Falcons head to San Luis Obispo to take on Cal Poly on Sunday (Sept. 17). Action is slated for 7:30 p.m. PT and 3 p.m. PT, respectively.
