Falcons fall to Aztecs in 1-0 loss

SAN DIEGO- Air Force saw San Diego State notch a 22nd minute goal, though the Falcons were unable to find an equalizer in Thursday's 1-0 loss.

Air Force maintained its offensive presence as it has throughout the 2023 season, outshooting San Diego State 20-11 and 8-7 in shots on goal.

Kendall Rippley paced the Falcons attacked with six total shots, including one on goal. Jordi Ives and Mia Otero combined for five on-target attempts, while Chase Borntreger and Lauren Mirande also tested the keeper.

Sydney Davis sustained her solid play between the pipes, stopping six of seven shots on goal.

The loss moves the Falcons to 0-14-1 all-time in San Diego, and to 4-5-1 through the season's first 10 matches.

Next, Air Force will travel to Albuquerque to take on New Mexico on Sunday, October 1. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 pm MT.
