Falcons Host Wyoming, Visit Colorado State at MW Midway

The Air Force volleyball team will spend the midway point of the Mountain West season facing its two closest conference opponents for the only time in 2024. The Falcons will close out the first half of league play hosting Wyoming at Cadet East Gym on Thursday, Oct. 24, before kicking off the second slate of matches at Moby Arena on Saturday, Oct. 26, when they take on against Colorado State in Fort Collins.
MATCH INFORMATION
Thursday's match at the Cadet East Gym will begin at 6:00 p.m. , while Saturday's contest at Moby Arena is slated to start at 11:30 a.m. (MT). Both matches will be streamed live on the Mountain West Network and the MW App, with Brian Jerman and George Egan handling the broadcasting duties at the Academy. The MW App is available for iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku, and Android TV). Live stats will also be available for both matches. SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Wyoming is 11-7 overall, with a 3-6 record in the Mountain West. The Cowgirls split a pair of 3-0 matches on the road last weekend, sweeping UNLV on Oct. 17 and being swept by San Diego State on Oct. 19. As a team, Wyoming is ranked fifth in blocks (2.30) during conference contests, while Sierra Grazzie (digs: second, 4.27), Sarah Holcomb (blocks: third, 1.24) and Skylar Erikson (aces: third, 0.47) are all listed among the league's top three in the individual standings. Colorado State, who will play at New Mexico on Thursday, currently leads the conference with a 6-2 mark (10-8 overall). The Rams, are also coming off a split weekend on the road, dropping a five-setter to San Diego State and sweeping UNLV. Colorado State leads the league in team hitting (.307), kills (13.75) and assists (12.79), while also leading the individual standings in all three categories behind Naeemah Weathers (.481 hitting), Malaya Jones (4.64 kills), and Emery Herman (10.67 assists).
