A GLANCE AT THE REDHAWKS
Seattle U was picked to win the conference in the preseason coaches' poll with 76 points and six first place votes. Three Redhawks earned preseason all-conference honors in Charlie Lanphier (GK), Jaden Manetta (D), and Taketo Onodera (M), highlighted by Lanphier's WAC Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year nod.
Titus Washington leads the squad with 10 points on four goals and two assists. Three other Redhawks have tallied three goals apiece in Edgar Leon, Jeremey Opong, and Onodera. Luke Hammond is a key facilitator with three assists to his credit for the most on the team.
THE SERIES
Seattle U leads the all-time series, 10-6-2 and is on a six-match win streak against the Falcons dating back to 2019. Air Force's last win against Seattle U was 2-1 at USAFA (10/20/2018). The Falcons are 4-4 against SU at the Academy.

CONFERENCE PLAY BEGINS THIS WEEK
Utah Valley enters the opening week of WAC conference matches after registering the best out of conference performance in the league to start the 2024 season, logging a 5-2-2 (.667) record. Seattle U checked in second at an even .500 with a 3-3-2. Grand Canyon and San Diego State were tied with matching 3-4-2 (.444) marks.
SEATTLE U THE TOP OFFENSIVE TEAM IN NONCONFERENCE
Following eight nonconference matches, Seattle U was the leading offensive squad in the WAC after scoring a league-high 17 goals (2.13 goals per match). Titus Washington (4), Edgar Leon (3), Taketo Onodera (3) and Jeremy Opong (3) were ranked among the top 10 WAC players in goals scored as of Oct. 2.
GCU ALLOWED THE FEWEST GOALS OUTSIDE OF LEAGUE PLAY
Over its first nine team starts to begin the 2024 season, Grand Canyon logged the best overall defensive performance in the WAC by surrendering a total of nine goals (1.00 goals per match). Lopes goalkeeper Leon Schmidt was credited with two nonconference clean sheets after shutting out Western Illinois (3-0) on Aug. 22 and Omaha (2-0) on Sept. 6.

As of the latest NCAA RPI update on Oct. 1, Seattle U was the top team from the WAC with an adjusted RPI ranking of 57. Other top 100 WAC teams in the more recent NCAA RPI were Grand Canyon (66), Utah Valley (69), UNLV (87) and San Diego State (93).
OPENING WEEK OF LEAGUE MATCHES ON TAP
A total of nine matches are scheduled for the opening week of conference play in the WAC, with Utah Valley hosting Seattle U (Oct. 3) and San José State (Oct. 5) out of the gate after fashioning the top nonconference league record. San Diego State will make its official WAC re-debut on the road at UNLV (Oct. 3) and Utah Tech (Oct. 5) in its first conference matches as a WAC member since 1998.
