Air Force Set for a Block Party and Senior Salute

The Air Force volleyball team splits the penultimate week of the 2024 campaign with a road contest at New Mexico and a home match against Boise State. The Falcons will travel to Albuquerque to face the Lobos in the Mountain West Network's Tuesday Night Block Party on Nov. 12, before welcoming the Broncos to the Academy for the final match of the season at Cadet East Gym on Nov. 16.
MATCH INFORMATION
Both matches are slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. (MT), with Tuesday's match being held at Johnson Gym in Albuquerque and Saturday's contest taking place at the Academy's Cadet East Gym. The Falcons' showdown with New Mexico will be part of the Mountain West Network's Tuesday Night Block Party and both matches will be broadcast live on the MWN. SENIOR SALUTE
Prior to Saturday's match against Boise State, Air Force will honor its five seniors – Mekayla Dedo, Ellie Eichhorn. Murphy Riggs, Mac Russ, Ella Tschuor – during the program's annual Senior Night Celebration.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
New Mexico improved to 4-10 in the Mountain West (11-13 overall) following a 2-0 weekend with home wins over Nevada and Utah State, while Boise State, who will play at New Mexico on Thursday, enters the week 16-9 overall, and 8-6 in conference play after splitting a home weekend with Wyoming (3-2 win) and Colorado State (1-3 loss). The teams are ranked 1-2 in blocking during MW matches (New Mexico 2.62, Boise State 2.50), while the Lobos also lead the league in digs with a 14.93 per-set average.
HISTORY 101
The Falcons are 7-45 all-time against New Mexico, while holding a 7-19 lifetime mark against Boise State. Air Force has just two career wins in Albuquerque – with the only win at Johnson Gym occurring in 2003, while six of the Falcons' seven victories over the Broncos have occurred at the Academy.

The Falcons dropped a pair of matches to New Mexico and Boise State during their first meetings in early October. Air Force suffered a five-set heartbreak to the Lobos at the Academy on Oct. 1, before falling in four to the Broncos in Boise on Oct. 3.
FALCONS IN THE MOUNTAIN WEST
Jordan Suan is ranked fifth in the Mountain West for overall digs with a 3.82 per-set average, while holding a No. 6- placement in conference digs at 3.71. Three other Falcons are also listed among the conference's top 10 in league matches, as Grace Fiaseu is listed sixth in hitting with a .366 average, while Mia Loyd and Ashley Bible are ranked 10th in assists (4.92) and service aces (0.34), respectively.

The Falcons snapped an 11-match losing streak on Nov 9, when they downed Nevada in four at the Academy.
