USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force men's gymnastics team, featuring the reigning NCAA pommel horse champion in senior Patrick Hoopes, announced its schedule for the upcoming 2025 season this afternoon (Nov. 13), with a strong lineup that includes three competitions – including the conference championship meet – inside the friendly confines of Cadet West Gym.
Air Force, under the direction of sixth-year head coach Josh Loeser, kicks off the campaign with a rare road opener, as it travels to Oklahoma for a meeting with the Sooners on Jan. 12. The two conference foes will face off again the following week (Jan. 18), when the Falcons host the annual Rocky Mountain Open at the Academy. In addition to Oklahoma, Air Force will host Arizona State, Nebraska, Simpson, Stanford, and the Rocky Mountain Mavericks in the prestigious competition that has been a fixture on the Falcons' home calendar for more than 40 years.
The Falcons remain at the Academy to host California on Feb. 8, before traveling to Texas for the annual All-Academy Championships against Army West Point and Navy on Feb. 15. Following a break from team competition for Winter Cup on Feb 21-23, the Falcons will head to New York for a rematch with Army West Point on March 14 – a regular-season finale that will also include Simpson.
The postseason begins for Air Force at the USAG Collegiate Nationals in Annapolis, Md., on March 28-29, where the Falcons will look to defend their team title and collect their 11th national title since 2010. Air Force will host the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships at the Academy on April 5, before closing out the season at the NCAA Championships in Ann Arbor, Mich., on April 18-19.
