Air Force Men’s Tennis Hosts Weber State In Spring Home-Opener

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis hosts Weber State in its home-opener this Saturday, Feb. 3 at the USAFA Indoor Tennis Courts.

About the Falcons: Air Force returns seven letterwinners off the 2022-23 team, which went 12-11 on the season. The Falcons welcome three newcomers, including two freshmen. Air Force returns its top No. 1 singles players in All-MW singles and doubles selection in junior Arjun Kersten and senior and team captain Nick Vroman. In addition, the Falcons return sophomore Phillip Deaton, the 2023 Mountain West Freshman of the Year.
Last time out: Air Force opened the season with a pair of matches in Nebraska two weekends ago. The Falcons dropped contests to Omaha and Creighton. Sophomores Phillip Deaton and Jack Brown lead the Falcons with 2-0 singles records.
Urbina takes over program: Evan Urbina enters his first season as the head coach for Air Force. Urbina helped build up the program the previous nine years as the assistant coach under Dan Oosterhous, who retired from coaching after the 2022-23 season.
About Weber State: Weber State enters the weekend with a 4-3 record. The Wildcats dropped a 4-3 contest to Omaha on Wednesday in its last action.
