Ohio State Rolls Past Air Force in Falcon Stadium Opener

USAF ACADEMY – Ohio State outscored Air Force, 12-4, Saturday afternoon at Falcon Stadium. The Falcons drop to 0-3 on the season while the Buckeyes remain perfect at 4-0.
Air Force had three scorers on the game, the lowest offensive output since scoring four at Duke in 2021. Junior attacker Josh Yago led the Falcons with the first two goals from feeds by Turner Asbhy and Luke Vrsansky. He has three goals this season. Chris Bardak put up the third goal to start the second half via Caelan Driggs' assist. Turner Ashby scored the AF's last goal, also via assist from Driggs.
Defensively, Air Force caused eight of OSU's 17 turnovers with James Chastain and Ashby having two CTOs to their credit each. Matt Rosato, Hunter Panzik, Charlie Pyfer and Wes Peene notched the other four.
In goal, Quinn Richards made five saves in 50:51 of action. Nolan Parlette made two saves in 9:09 of action. Jake Knapp had a fair day at the faced off dot, winning 8-19 attempts and picking up a team0best six ground balls.
Two Buckeyes notched hat tricks in Ben Mayer (4g) and Dylan Magee (3g). Of their 12 goals, only four were assisted. Ohio State outshot Air Force, 36-26.
Next up, the Falcons hold down the fort as they welcome Stony Brook to the Academy, February 24. Action on Saturday is slated for noon MT. The Seawolves lead the all-time series, 3-4, and have won the last four straight dating back to 1999.
