
Women’s basketball adds three to Mountain West postseason honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Air Force women's basketball contributed a program-record three players to the 2023-24 Mountain West postseason awards list, the conference announced on Sunday.
Milahnie Perry – All-Mountain West Team
Sophomore Milahnie Perry was named to the 2023-24 All-Mountain West team, making her the third player in Falcon history to earn first-team honors, and youngest to ever do so. Perry, sporting the Mountain West's third-highest scoring average in conference play (18.22 ppg) and program's Division I single-season scoring record holder, finished conference play with top-ten league figures in minutes (32.01), field goal percentage (.418), assists per game (3.5), free throw percentage (.836), steals per game (1.44) and assist/turnover ratio (1.58).
Perry led an Air Force scoring effort in 2023-24 which wrapped its regular season as the third-best scoring offense in the Mountain West (65.56) and led the league in three-point percentage (.350). scoring 20 or more points in nine contests this season, resetting her career high against Nevada (Feb. 7).
Madison Smith – All-Defensive Team
Junior Madison Smith was named a Mountain West All-Defensive selection, becoming just the second player in Air Force history to earn the distinction behind Cierra Winters in 2021-22.
Smith finished 2023-24 with a league-best 65 steals, averaging 1.61 in regular-season play to help the Falcons lead the league as a team in steals (10.06) and close second in turnover margin (+3.67). In February, Smith, along with senior teammate Taylor Britt, composed one of three duos in the nation to combine for as many steals and tandem lead their respective conferences in as many takeaways.
Jayda McNabb – All-Freshman Team
Jayda McNabb was selected to the Mountain West All-Freshman team, becoming the seventh Falcon newcomer to be selected for the honor.
McNabb closed the regular season the ninth-best rebounder in the Mountain West, ranked 23rd nationally and topping the league in offensive boards at 3.9 per game. McNabb is currently one of four players in the nation shorter than 6'0" to average 3.9 or more from the offensive glass. 1.72 steals per game in conference play for McNabb proved the third-best figure in the league, and highest of any freshman across the Mountain West. McNabb's five steals versus Fresno State (Feb. 14) tied a league-best in 2023-24. The freshman logged double-digit scoring in seven games, earning a career-best 15 in the Falcons' win over Regis on Nov. 14.
