Air Force men's tennis dropped a 7-0 contest at #68 New Mexico (12-8, 3-1 MW) in Mountain West play Saturday afternoon at the McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium in Albuquerque, NM.
The Falcons were led by a doubles win by the No. 1 duo of Jack Brown and Arjun Kersten.
Brown and Kersten defeated Arda Azkara/Alex Maggs 6-3. New Mexico took the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3.
The Falcons struggled to get going in singles play, as the Lobos took all six matches.
Head coach Evan Urbina recapping match:
"We got beat by a very good conference opponent today. We competed well, but are looking forward to getting back to practice on Monday to work on what we need to improve for next week's Senior Day against Boise State.
I am also grateful we had a few grads show up to show us some support (Jordan Azuma, Santiago Garcia, and Gary Stern)! I know the team appreciates the Falcon nation. We will keep working hard."
Air Force closes out the regular season on Thursday, April 18, hosting Boise State.
