Patrick Hoopes Wins Pommel Horse at Olympic Trials

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – Highlighted by a 15.000 performance on Day 2, rising Air Force senior Patrick Hoopes won the pommel horse at the U.S. Olympic Trials this past weekend in Minneapolis and was named an alternate for Team USA at the upcoming 2024 Games in Paris.
Hoopes, the reigning NCAA champion and U.S. silver medalist on the pommel horse, claimed the Trials' title after recording a two-day score of 29.450 (Day 1 – 14.450, Day 2 – 15.000) during competition at the Target Center. Following the meet, he was selected as one of the three non-traveling alternates for Team USA.
He sat down with FalconVision on Monday (July 1) afternoon to recap the Trials and his historic season.
