Air Force Takes Down Oral Roberts 6-1 In Norman

Air Force men's tennis (3-2) defeated Oral Roberts 6-1 in a neutral-site non-conference dual Friday night at the Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman, Okla.

Air Force took the doubles point and went 5-1 in singles play for the win.

The Falcons opened with wins at No. 1 and 2 doubles for the first point. Arjun Kersten and Jack Brown won at No. 1 over Ricardo Filho/Parv Nage 7-6. Phillip Deaton and AJ Moore won at No. 2 over Eli Brewer/Jonathan Evans 7-6 for the clinching doubles point.

The Falcons won the first four singles match, clinching with the third singles win.

Langdon Tingleaf started things off in singles with a win at No. 6 over Ryan Holloway 6-1, 6-1. Deaton then won at No. 2 over Eli Brewer 6-0, 6-0. AJ Moore clinched the match with a win at No. 4 over Jonathan Evans 6-0, 6-1.

Matthew Staton then won at No. 5 over Aaron Brewer 7-5, 6-1. Alec Fritzinger capped the match with a win at No. 3 over Nage 7-6 (5), 0-6, 11-9.

Air Force returns to action tomorrow against #8 Oklahoma on Saturday, Feb. 1 at noon CT.
