
Women's Swimming and Diving Secures Pair of Dual Wins Over Wyoming and Denver

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo., - Air Force women's swimming and diving locked in a pair of dual wins over Denver (233.50-138.50) and Mountain West opponent Wyoming (235.50-136.50), while coming up short to No. 21 LSU (219-153) on Saturday morning at Cadet Natatorium.
Our team rose to the occasion this weekend, expressed head coach Colleen Murphy. Hanging in with LSU is a big confidence boost in our first dual meet of the season. Wyoming and Denver are always tough and we had great wins.
Lily Larson won the 200 free after touching the wall at 1:51.99, while Brynn Bond claimed fifth (1:54.77).
Sophomore Chloe Perkins took second on the 3-meter springboard, scoring a 278.45. Teammate Lulu Semakula finished in third place with a score of 266.85.
In the 100 breast, Naomi Furman locked in a time of 1:03.56 to place second. Behind in fourth and fifth were Maeve Linscott (1:05.27) and Reagan Kampschror (1:05.30).
Jordan Evans earned a bronze finish with a time of 2:08.62 in the 200 IM.
Distance swimmer, Abby Miller finished highest in the 1000 free for the Falcons at 10:39.84 for fourth place.
Falcons Jena Nowoswiat (2:07.62) and Natalie Doig (2:07.98) placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 200 fly.
Murphy mentioned, We have been working really hard in the water and this is an extremely united team that enjoys racing and pushing each other to level up.
The Falcons will return to Cadet Natatorium on Friday October 31 for a Mountain West competition against Grand Canyon.
