
Tyler Leaird Advances To Singles Quarterfinals At MW Fall Qualifier

LAS VEGAS, Nev., - Air Force men's tennis completed day one play at the 2025 Mountain West Fall Qualifier Friday at the Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Junior Tyler Leaird led the way with a pair of wins in the main singles draw to advance to the quarterfinals.
Leaird opened with a win in the round of 32 over fourth-seed Tristan Berard of Grand Canyon in straight sets 6-3, 6-4. Leaird then won his round of 16 match over Illia Maksymchuk of UNLV in three sets 6-2, 3-6, 6-1. Leaird advances to the quarters Saturday.
Air Force's three other singles competitors were eliminated from the main singles draw with opening round setbacks. Junor Alec Fritzinger won his consolation draw match over Remy Tregoures of Nevada 6-2, 6-1.
The Falcons also fell in both doubles matches in the opening round.
Air Force returns to action for day two of the qualifier tomorrow.
