Falcons Return to Academy to Host San Jose State, Fresno State

The Air Force volleyball team returns to the Academy this week to begin its final homestand of the season. The Falcons will open a four-match run at Cadet East Gym against San Jose State on Thursday, Nov. 6, before hosting Fresno State for the final tie as conference contenders on Saturday, Nov. 6.
MATCH INFORMATION
Thursday's match with San Jose State is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m., inside Cadet East Gym, while Saturday's contest with Fresno State will begin at 1:00 p.m. (both times MT). Tickets can be purchased at GoAirForceFalcons.com and the Academy's Clear Bag Policy will be in effect. Live stats will be available via StatBroadcast.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
San Jose State is currently 10-13 on the year, with a 5-7 mark in conference action after dropping a road swing with Wyoming (1-3) and Colorado State (2-3) last week. The Spartans are ranked third in the Mountain West in digs (15.20) and rank among the top half of the conference in opponent hitting (sixth, .203). Fresno State, who will play at Nevada on Thursday, enters the week with a 6-17 mark and a 2-9 slate in Mountain West action. The Bulldogs, who fell to Colorado State (0-3) and Wyoming (1-3) on the road last week, are led by Addison Haluska, who leads the league in kills (4.48) and points (5.01).

Air Force fell to 7-19 all-time against San Jose State after an 0-3 sweep last month at Spartan Gym. Backed by three-straight wins in 2013-15 and back-to-back victories in 2022-23, six of the Falcons' seven victories have come at the Academy, Air Force evened its all-time series with Fresno State at 14 wins apiece, following a 3-1 win at the Save Mart Center earlier this season. The Falcons, who will face the Bulldogs for the final time as Mountain West opponents, are 10-3 in contests played at Cadet East Gym.

Alex Hatchett is currently ranked second in the Mountain West in hitting with a .388 average in conference play, while the team holds the same placement in aces with a 1.44 per-set average. Jordan Suan is ranked third in digs (3.88) and Ashley Bible is listed fifth in kills (3.66), while the team is ranked among the conference's top five in digs (fourth, 15.14), blocks (fifth, 2.47) and opponent hitting (fifth, .202).
