Davenport led Falcons in Hawaii

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Senior Ted Davenport led the Air Force golf team at the inaugural Pearl at Kalauoa Invitational, Thursday-Friday, Nov. 5-6, at the Pearl at Kalauo Golf Course in 'Aiea, O'ahu.
Davenport led the Falcons with a 223 (+7) over the two-day, 54-hole tournament. Junior Carson Baker shot a 224, followed by senior Brooks Morrell (228), junior Eli Huntington (230) and senior Eric Liveringhouse (231). Competing as individuals, junior Grant Samuelson shot a 225 (+9) and sophomore Jackson Scaletta shot a 234. Samuelson placed seventh among the individuals.
In the first round, Davenport led the Falcons with a 74 (+2), followed by Morrell (75). For the individuals, Samuelson shot a 77 and Scaletta shot 78, including an eagle on the par-5, 516-yard 17th hole.
In the second round, Air Force shot a 294 (+6) as a team, the 10th best round of any team in the tournament in the second round. Baker led the way with a 71 (-1), making five birdies in the round. Davenport shot 73, Morrell shot 74 and Huntington shot 76. Samuelson shot 72 (even).
Baker, Huntington and Liveringhouse all shot 75 in the final round. Davenport shot a 76, that included an eagle on the par-5, 573-yard first hole. Baker had four birdies in the final round. Among individuals, Samuelson shot 76 and Scaletta shot 78, with six birdies on the day.
Air Force has concluded the fall portion of the schedule. The Falcons return to action Feb. 15-17 at the Loyola Invitational at Palm Valley Golf Course in Goodyear, Ariz.
