Huntington led Falcons on first day in Arizona

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Junior Eli Huntington led the Air Force golf team on the first day of the Loyola Intercollegiate, Sunday, Feb. 15, at Palm Valley Golf Course in Goodyear, Ariz. The tournament opens the spring season for Air Force.

Huntington made three birdies en route to an even par 72. Senior Brooks Morrell shot 74 (+2) with three birdies on the day. Freshman Ben Zeiler and senior Eric Liveringhouse each shot 76 while junior Carson Baker shot 77. Senior Ted Davenport, competing as an individual, shot 76.
Loyola Maryland, the host school, and Richmond are tied for the tournament lead at 280 (-8). South Dakota and Denver are tied for third at 281 (-7). Air Force is tied for 17^th place with a 298 (+10), with Bucknell.

The second round of the Loyola Intercollegiate begins at 7:45 am MT on Monday, Feb. 16.

Four Falcons will compete as individuals The Prestige Tournament, Monday-Wednesday, Feb. 16-18, at the Terra Lago Golf Club in Indio, Calif.

Junior Grant Samuelson, sophomore Jackson Scaletta and freshmen Aaron Baker and Lincoln Blake will compete in the tournament.
