
Women's Diving Completes Air Force Diving Invitational with Six Top 12 Finishers

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo., - Falcons women's diving hosted the Air Force Diving Invitational, held in the Cadet Natatorium from January 30th-February 1st.
Air Force finished with six divers in the top 12 placements, across the 1-meter springboard, 3-meter springboard, and platform. Kacey Hu and Chloe Perkins ended the invitational in the top 12 in both the 1-meter and the 3-meter.
On the first day of competition, the women competed the 1-meter springboard. Hu scored 240.30 in the preliminary round, to give her the ninth spot in finals. The freshman shifted into eighth place at the conclusion of finals, at 255.60.
Freshman, Perkins, finished the preliminary round in 10th on the 1-meter, marking a score of 240.30. In finals, she scored 244.10 to place 11th for the Falcons.
Day two of the invitational saw the women battle on the 3-meter springboard. Perkins notched the highest preliminary score for Air Force, 265.00. After entering finals in fourth, she finished with a final score of 293.90 for fifth, the highest placement of the invitational for the Falcons.
Hu, earned a spot in the final round of the 3-meter, following her preliminary placement of 9th and a score of 246.00. Overall, the Las Vegas, Nev., native scored 230.30 in finals to finish in 11th place.
Freshman, Annaliese Cundiff scored 246.40 to take eighth place in the preliminary round, and with a score of 223.35, she locked her final placement in 12th.
The Air Force Diving Invitational concluded with the platform competition on day three. Kate Cooper was the sole diver to represent Air Force on the platform. She tallied a score of 201.70 to earn a spot in the final round. Cooper placed 12th in finals, with a 183.25 score.
Up next, the Falcons will travel to Denver, Colo., to compete in the First Chance Invitational as the regular season closes. Competition is slated for 3:00 p.m. MT on Feb. 7 and 8.
