Falcons Take First at Front Range Invitational

DENVER, Colo., - The Falcons walked away from the Front Range Invitational in the top spot, with a score of 891, defeating Colorado State, Wyoming, Denver, and Northern Colorado.
Naomi Furman earned a first-place finish in the 100 breast at 1:03.95. Teammates Maeve Linscott (1:04.57) and Mandy Fleetwood (1:05.50) followed in second and fourth, respectively.
The 200 medley relay placed second at 1:43.84 and the 400 free relay (3:27.34) took third.
In the 400 IM, Jordan Evans clocked a time of 4:32.99 to place third, while Elizabeth Sistrunk locked in a fifth place finish (4:35.01).
Amber Martin represented Air Force in the top five finishers of the 100 fly, in fourth place with a time of 56.39.
Locking in a time of 1:52.90, Lily Larson earned bronze in the 200 free, with freshman Sadie Hartig in fifth (1:53.56).
Distance swimmers Katie Andrist (17:45.84) and Abby Miller (17:49.54) placed third and fourth in the 1650 freestyle.
During the diving portion at Cadet Natatorium, Chloe Perkins scored a 245.20 on the 1-meter springboard for second place. Freshman Lulu Semakula came in third with a score of 242.95. With a score of 233.95, newcomer Giselle Rojas placed fifth.
On the platform, Perkins claimed the silver spot with a score of 199.70, representing the Falcons in the top five.
Air Force women's swim and dive will travel to Fresno, Calif., for the Gary Ota Memorial Invite from October 10-11 at Fresno State.
