Maeve Rosko Garners MW Swimmer of the Week Honor

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., - For the first time this season, Maeve Rosko, has earned the spotlight as the Mountain West Swimmer of the Week, as announced by conference officials on Tuesday morning.

The senior recorded a pair of top five individual finishes, while competing at the First Chance Invitational, hosted by Denver University.

"Maeve Rosko is one of the hardest working and committed team players we have on our team," said head coach Colleen Murphy. "I am so happy she received this award in her final meet as a senior!"

Rosko locked in a season-best time of 2:02.12 in the 200 backstroke to notch a second-place finish.

In the 100 backstroke, the Seaside, Calif., native collected the only top five placement for Air Force. She touched the wall at 57.32 for a fourth-place finish and a personal best.

Her 100 backstroke time ranks fifth for the Falcons.

Rosko swam the opening leg of the 200 medley relay, and helped Air Force mark second place at 1:46.85.

Murphy expressed, "It is a well-deserved honor and Rosko's leadership and dedication to USAFA swimming will be missed."
