The Falcons hold the line at USAFA as they welcome Marist to USAFA for a non-conference meeting on Sunday (Mar. 2). Action at Falcon Stadium is scheduled for noon.
Insallation Access Requirements
The U.S. Air Force Academy processes to access the installation continue to affect athletic events. While the installation remains open, if you do not have a DoD ID card you will need to obtain a pass to enter the base. Ticket holders wishing to attend can request a base pass by using the links below for each game. Once you register, you will receive a message with a QR code on your phone to present at the gate when entering the Academy. Fans will present game tickets when entering each venue. All ticketed/credentialed attendees will need to enter through the North Gate only to get to the Cadet Field House.

The History
Air Force and Marist will be meeting for the eighth time in program history with the Falcons leading the all-time series, 5-2. Whilst Air Force is undefeated (2-0) when playing in Poughkeepsie, the Red Foxes have a bit more fortune playing at USAFA as they are tied in the Academy series, 2-2.
Last time they played (March 5, 2022), the Falcons doubled up Marist, 17-8, at Falcon Stadium. The win marked the second-straight meeting of AF doubling up on Marist (12-6, Feb. 16, 2019). The Falcons are on a three-game winning streak from 2018-2022, outscoring the Red Foxes 37-21 in those three games. Marist's last win was in 2017 at USAFA. In 2016, the teams played to a fourth overtime where Air Force prevailed, 7-6.
A Quick Look at AF
The Falcons are back in the win column in a big way, smashing two program records against Quinnipiac with 38 points and 17 assists on February 28.
The offense is led by senior team captain Josh Yago and junior Caelan Driggs who combine for 40 points in five games. Driggs leads the squad with 15 goals and has had three hat tricks this season highlighted by a five-goal game at Ohio State— he is second in the ASUN in goals per game (3.00). Yago is the squad's primary helper with 13 assists— he is 16th in the NCAA and second among ASUN players in assists per game (2.60). Yago's 51 career assists ties Mike Crampton ('14) for fifth place in the record book.
At center X, senior faceoff specialist Daniel Haimes has won the most faceoffs in three of his five appearances. He is fourth among all ASUN faceoff specialists in faceoff win percentage (.523). AF's key defender is Cole Cunningham who averages 4.40 ground balls per game and a CTO per game. In goal, senior keeper Jake Marek has taken all five starts. He has a .429 save percentage and a 12.29 GAA.
A Look at the Red Foxes
Marist takes field under the command of Dave Scarcello who was named head coach of the lacrosse program on July 10, 2024. Scarcello was initially hired as an assistant coach at his alma mater on June 2, 2018. He was promoted to associate head coach in October of 2023. The 2025 season marks his seventh season on the Marist coaching staff, and his first as head coach.
The Red Foxes have played two ASUN opponents in Mercer (W, 16-6) and Jacksonville (L, 15-12). AF and Marist have one common opponent in the University of Denver, both teams be handed a loss.
Marist's key scorer is Collin Patrick who leads the squad with 17 points on 10 goals and seven helps. The Red Foxes can spread the ball around as six players have five or more goals. At center X, Dylan Bedell is the primary faceoff specialist and boasts a .564-win percentage. In goal, Noble Smith is likely to get the start with a .488 save percentage and 11.22 GAA.

Air Force impacted the record book in the 21-8 routing of Quinnipiac in non-conference action, Friday afternoon, at Falcon Stadium. The Falcons' 38 points is the most single-game points in program history, overtaking the 35-point game against Bellarmine in 2017, and the 17 assists are the most single-game assists in program history, overtaking the 14 assists made against Mercer in 2019.
AF nearly tripled its season goals average for the most goals scored since beating Detroit Mercy, 22-15, in 2023. Two Falcons had seven-point showings in Caelan Driggs with four goals and three assists, and Josh Yago with three goals and four helps. Sophomore Mana Wilhelm notched his first career hat trick, marking the first time this season that three Falcons had hat tricks in a single game.

The Falcons hit the road to take on the perennial powerhouse No. 7 Duke on Saturday, March 8. Action at Koskinen Stadium is slated for noon ET. The Falcons will play the Blue Devils and Marquette on the road before the ASUN Conference slate, March 29.
